Frustrated? Possible. I just don't see how it's so hard for Joe to do something with this site. I guess what got me going was seeing him come on to this very forum and make a couple of posts like he's just s regular person. That's the part I really don't understand. This conversation is so very meta.
Look, there are many communities out on the inter-web that prosper just fine. Look at Evento. The have gads, what six, seven either sites all posting tutorials, and having designs up for grabs. That's a privatly held company. It's not a comunity spondered. But then again, they need the community to grow and they give the community what they want. Good content. Good designs.
Stackoverflow. Another community site. It was created by four, five guys and now within just a couple of years they have grown into a community of four knockoff sites. All of the content is generated by the community. Without the community, there wouldn't be anything.
So I just don't understand why it's such a turn off from wanting to keep a design comunity going. OSWD, OSD, OD. They are all the exact same in concept, each prospered, and the were left to wither and die. So Joe, if you're lurking around here some place. Come on out and do some talking. Let us know what you're up to, why you're not around and what you would like to do with this site. It would be the adult thing to do wouldn't it?
