   Working on templates, I typically pick a sidebar width that looks good, but I was wondering what everyone thought would be the optimal width, given standard ad sizes (like Google's).

   I see a lot of 125x125 button ads these days, and in google's list see a lot of 120's and 160's. So I think a skinny sidebar would be 125 and a thick one 250, maybe give or take 10px for some padding.

   What do y'all think?

   i think it's difficult to give a guideline on what width should the sidebar have as templates look different, have a different feel. adapting to the content is the best. and also the ideas above are good
