Dynamic URLs vs. static URLs

    So I read an article today saying that Google would rather not have you rewrite a URL to make it look like a static URL. This is commonly called creating a 'clean URL'.

    What do you folks think about this?

    I've read the article and it's somewhat confusing to the average user. Aaron and I were just talking about this article earlier today...

    Basically if you know how to do a proper rewrite of a URL, that's better, but in one the the examples from the article shows making a session ID a "pretty URL" and that is so wrong. Every user has a different session ID, you would have a lot of different URL's for the same link... not so good. Hopefully I am explaining what I mean correctly...
