    Slight time-based problem: sean's post shows up as -1 years ago.
    On another Note: THIS IS AWESOME!

    Looks great but can you make the post text darker (#555) on style.css (line 19).

    Last post by on the homepage doesn't seem to be working either.

    Post numbers don't seem to work either.

    uperlemurguy: I don't see anything on line 19. If you give me the style class or id, I'll fix it. I will not be putting to much effort in matching the forum design right now, because the whole site is being redesigned as we speak.

    oh well that was the firebug output, it is on the general body tag in /wp-content/themes/todc/style.css, but that would change the whole site.

    Welcome back Joe!

    Agree with Alec, very difficult with current setting.

    Like Uberlemurguy says, making the text darker will help a lot. It's a tad difficult to read right now. But on the whole, liking the changes a lot :)

    Topics that are deleted or somehow broken shows up like this http://niemi.it/playground/topicnotfound.png

    Do you want me to design a 404 (or whatever HTTP status code this is) that doesn't break the current layout, and looks more OD-like?

    Text is darker now. Once the new design is up, we will work to achieve perfection.

    loving bbpress, but is there some sort of plugin to highlight unread posts / mark posts as read?

    Are we back to having just one developer for this site? If not then maybe Alec is a good candidate to help out as admin.

    I think we need to forward the old urls: /forum/discussion/2545/ to the new style /forum/topic.php?id=2545, a quick php script or fancy .htaccess should do the trick.

    uberlemurguy: I've actually been trying to do that for the last 2 hours... something is interfering,or perhaps it's just past my bedtime... how would you write it?

    I will get back to you on that Joe because it will take some time to perfect the regex, but until then for some reason on this thread: /forum/topic.php?id=2605&replies=5#post-29644 Neuen's post is at -1 years. What gives.

    Yup, text reads much better. Another couple of issues I noticed:

    1. after logging in I get taken to a 404 page.

    2. This text box springs wider than the background grey area when I read the end of the line: Screenshot at http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v631/pd24/ODscreenshot.jpg (had trouble making it into a link). Using Opera 9.6.

    Same problem (using Chrome).

    Text-color is great now.

    Text-color is better, not great, could be darker.

  22. For the textbox that's too big, look on line 355 of /forum/my-templates/opendesigns/style.css. You'll see a rule for ".postform textarea" and you can just change the "width:720px" to something like "width:98%"

    Also, the gridserver.com is blocked by my school resulting in unstyled content for me. Perhaps we can use another grid like s3. it is only text you are servering.

    Who's doing all the improvements? Only Lobster? I would suggest granting a handful of people the right to edit CSS files etc., or this could take a great deal of time.

    Aaron: thanks for the pointer, fixed. As I mentioned before, there will be a new design for the site really soon, so I'm not going to go into the design details till then. But if someone notices an issue, and points me to the line in the code where it is, I'll fix it.

    uberlemurguy: I fixed the issue, it should be working now.

    Here is the .htacces thing:

    RedirectMatch 301 ^(.*)forum/discussion/(.*)$ http://opendesigns.org/forum/topic.php?id=$2

    It redirects from http://(optionaly: www.)opendesigns.org/forum/discussion/anythinghere to http://(optionaly: www.)opendesigns.org/forum/topic.php?id=anythinghere This doesn't check for numbers but this is mainly for incoming google links so it shouldn't be an issue. Also the footer is messed up (only on the forums the homepage is fine): <img src='http://cipherblog.net/od/error.png' />.

    You can fix this on line 123 of http://opendesigns.org/forum/my-templates/opendesigns/style.css. Change it to
    border-top:0 none;
    and
    padding:0;

    this will fix it.

    Hey, the site looks amazing! I love the filtering/search, brilliant work. Is the code for it available somewhere? I have been planning to add a similar feature to http://andreasviklund.com/templates/ for a long time, so I would be more than happy to see how it has been done.

    I am also planning to upload all my templates here (currently 24 original designs) and add a very visible link to OD for those who don\'t find any suitable design among the ones in my template gallery - and getting back to being a part of the template community now that it is officially my full-time job. Long story, and not relevant in this thread so I\'ll skip it. But the updated site is simply great. Who are running it today?
