    I am working on a community site for businesses in my community.

    I need to know how to make WordPress themes

    && i need to figure out how users can edit their page...and their page only

    I need someone to explain this to me, but you don't need to rush because i have time...but if you do have some time it would be great if you could explain this to me (and anyone else who wants to know) or at least give me a link to a good tutorial because i can't find any.

    Hi SunRise. You could try Themes Press to make your theme if you have a design (HMTL/CSS) ready. Or any number of us, including me, can help you with it. bakie

    As for users editing their pages, I'm not sure about this and someone has to confirm it, but if you let them register as "contributors" they can only edit their own posts. (YOu can set the default new user's role from the General tab of Options in the Dashboard.)

    I'd use WPMU. And i'd gladly help, but i don't see myself having time to breath in the next few weeks.

    glad I read this....I'm working on a mod for sNews for multiple users and I've been calling it sNews MU. I'll have to change the name. Don't want folks thinking that sNews is trying to copy WP. bigsmile

    It allows them to register their own blog, and have it automatically created on your site - so they will only be able to edit their own.

    How do the user profile pages on OD work? can that be expanded to allowing users to have their own page with editable text and space for a photo gallery etc..
