At long last, Open WordPress is ready to start accepting themes and plugins. I'm very excited to finally have this functionality in place, and am hopeful to really see the community start moving.

Everyone is welcome to join and contribute to the community. Once you're logged in to the WordPress admin area, under the Dashboard there are links for "Submit a Theme" and "Submit a Plugin".

That's certainly a possibility. I'm pretty open to ideas and suggestions for the site at this point. Registered users are currently allowed to submit articles - a tutorials section may be a good idea as well.

Your theme has been approved janpd - so far there have been 3 themes uploaded and approved. I'm waiting for a few more to be submitted, and then they will start showing up on the home page.

Are you signed up under the same username? The third theme was submitted by WPthemesplugin, and has been approved.

Thanks LobsterMan! I just approved all your themes - they should be showing up on the home page within in the next day or two.

    Thanks everyone for the support!

Allright, the recently submitted themes are now showing up on the home page. Thanks to everyone who has submitted, keep them coming!

I will admit that the styling is not that great right now, I just wanted to get something up that would display the themes. I'm hoping to have a design contest for the site, like we did here. Until then things are going to look a little plain...

Tried to upload a theme but it says the folder structure is wrong. Do you have any guidelines of what that should be. I may have overlooked them but I couldn't see any on the site.

Edit: I have took this to the OpenWP forum where it belongs.bigsmile
