i know there have been several discussions about this, but i never quite figured it out
my dad decided it would be cool if he installed ie7, which is great, but ie6 is still a major browswer, and i would like to be able to test in ie6 also, as well as ie7 and firefox. i have the FF ie toolbar extension, but doesnt that just show me how it looks in ie7? -

I believe you first have to uninstall ie7. Then follow one of the following tutorials:

You can also try this service: Browser Cam. It takes screenshots of how your site looks in different browsers etc. -

Multiple IEs
Probably the best and easiest way you'll find. It lets you go back as far as IE 3.0, though you really only need 5.0 at the least. -
