I think The Hobbit Template is one of the most beautiful templates submitted to open designs. I am always the first to admit that my skills are limited with fixing possible bugs. My question, when the text size is enlarged in IE and FF, the sword on the top left shifts from the little paper. Does anyone know a fix to this if there is one. Just curious.....I am not planning on using the design, but always willing to learn how to fix something with web design. Thanks. -

NickyD:
Like I said on my website, try changing the margin-top value for the .gfx class (in the .css file). -

Thanks Arcsin. I did adjust it, but then it became uneven when the text size was set back to normal. I was just trying to see what I should put in the .gfx class that works with all text sizes to keep that image even. Thanks. -

NickyD: try forcing the height of all the classes around there (something I wouldn't normally recommend) to the pixel-perfect values. -

Thanks Gnome. I tried, but just could not get it to work for me. No big deal, I was just trying to teach myself a new trick. Thanks anyway. If anyone does fix this issue because they are using the template, tell us what you did to fix it in all text sizes. -

NickyD:
Why do you use different text-size on your pages? -

Is it a pen or a sword? No matter, it is a great design.
I have to reduce my font size 2 notches in Firefox to get it to line up. -

Not sure I understand your question. I do not use different text sizes when viewing this page. I like to look at templates in different text sizes to see if they hold their design.
I am not sure if that answers your question. Please do not look at my post as an insult to the design, just chalk it up to trying to learn how to fix something for a beginner like myself.
Thanks for submitting a beautiful design. -

Nelchee brought this up the other day: Individual font default settings can override the generic font family "serif;" of the navigation. If you choose the space consuming Verdana e.g. the line breaks.-
Arcsin, you are one of my favourite designers, anyway. I made my homepage "bitter sweet". -

I see what you mean.
Anyway if anyone change anything or override the stylesheet on any of my designs and it doesnt work, don't call it a problem and don't ask about it on my template site. I have clearly pointed out that questions should be posted using the contact form on http://arcsin.se/contact/ . -
