I had enough people say that the bridge theme just did not make them happy. Well, I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that the layout/theme was on the dark side.
I poked around and settled on another three column them that I am still tweaking. I think I like it though.
The original typography color schemes did not set well with me. Nor did the font choice. So I have changed that around quite a bit, not to mention customizing it for static page use.
The logo image is giving me fits though. I want to change it, but so far nothing is coming to mind.
Anyway, I hope this site is easier on the eyes and spirits of people visiting for the first time.

Thanks for your comments in advance.

Ooh, I think this looks very nice indeed. I like what you've done by chopping the photo.
Just a suggestion - the icons you have for Home, Send an e-mail, and the RSS feed, you could make the first two a different colour. The current grey makes it look like they are "greyed out" or inactive, if you get the drift. That's just a personal opinion, though. I like it overall. -

Jan thats a terrific idea.
I can take no credit for the photo, though it would not be that hard to do. The trick is finding the right image to play with.
I am in the midst of trying to determine what would work for the site. I like the river, but it is not what I want for a fitness/strength site. Yes, I love your idea about the little images. -

The interesting thing is that with the darker style, people were reading on the average 6 pages a visit. Now, they are reading none. Most curious. -

Your site is looking good. Though I have say that I liked all versions that you've had so far (I change my site style all the time, in fact a new theme is coming soon :)

That's nice of you to say Fueled.
Changing themes for the most part is easy, UNLESS, like me, you have external pages that are layout/theme based. So every time I change a theme, I have to create 8 new external pages to match the new theme. Arrrrggg :D -

8 is nothing. I have sites that need 100+ pages changed when a page needs to be added. Go stuff designed in the 90's ! -

that's called stupidity if you need to change 100+ pages when a new page needs to be added, heard of includes? php / shtml / etc.

Gnome I hope you are using some form of standard template and a bunch of PHP or SSI to manage dem dare 100 pages. But with html, SSI will do you no good. Yikes! -

Ethan: this is for a client, with a non-negotiable server. The (other) server is (mostly) my old rig run by a friend of mine, under the name Northground. I can't give out the domain name, as it is traveling by train to Ottawa right now. It runs dual P3's , 3/4 GB of RAM, and a (sketchy) 4.3GB HDD. -
