I'm starting to use Google Analytics to keep track of my site stats, and I need to insert a snippet of JavaScript code (shown below) before the </body> tag of each page I want analyzed. The only thing is that my site is a Wordpress blog, and I don't know which file to put the code in. I tried looking in my folders, but there seems to be only PHP files, and no HTML files. I have zero PHP knowledge. Can somebody help me out?
<script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript">
</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
_uacct = "UA-1191487-1";
urchinTracker();
</script>
Thanks in advance,
Sam -

Look in the theme folder for the file "footer.php" usually the ending body tag will be in there.
WordPress themes are made up of several template files that form the whole theme.
Hope that helps. -

Glad to help.
Don't be afraid of the php files. Think of them as html files with wordpress tags if you like. Yes they are php but generally you can follow the codex and not worry about the php. -

There is also a nice plugin, that will add the google analytics code, and give you some of the reports right in the wordpress admin. Wordpress Reports

Thanks for the link, DENiAL. I'd check it out tonight, but it's 1am and I still have to write a 10-minute speech for school tomorrow about the influence that Rene Levesque had on society.

acousticsam, René Levesque and his ilk were responsible for a mass exodus of English-speaking Quebecers, including me. Most of us came to Ontario..I left in '75 and moved to Vancouver, BC but hated all the rain...so I came back east to Ontario in '77. In Vancouver at that time, I remember a landlord wouldn't rent me an apartment until he was positive I was not a francaphone.
The Separatists...the Parti Quebecois, which Mr Levesque founded in 1968, imho, ruined Quebec...and my home town of Montreal, though still a great city, is no longer a great tourist city, because they forced everyone to put up French-only signs, and changed old street names to French. For example, in 1987 they changed Dorchester Blvd to boulevard René Levesque...
Dorchester Blvd was the street of my old college campus so it had a special place in my heart.
I love the French people in Quebec...I can speak French so I never had any problems there...but ask the average Ontarian about their experiences when visiting Montreal and it's not pretty. And the attitude that's prevalent there now?...that is because of that drunken idiot, Levesque.

Haha, yeah I know Lévesque's not exactly the most popular politician around.
But, what was worse, his Québécois patriotism, or the anti-union authoritarian rule of Maurice Duplessis?
As an Ontarian, I don't think he ruined Québec. If it hadn't been for him, I think Québec would be influenced more than ever with English-Canadian and American media. Who cares if the English-speaking tourists can't find their way around Montréal? It's better that the Québécois get to preserve their own language and culture.
I say let Québec be a 'nation within a nation' if they want. As Lévesque said once, "...it's like a couple. If you can't sleep together, you might as well have separate beds."
Edit: and no, that wasn't part of my speech. -

oh man, acousticsam...don't get me started... Tourism is very good for the economy, by the way. I think I'l just leave this discussion because this could turn into a Canadian political flame war and that's the last thing our new mods need, right? -

Just one point: the French in other provinces had a mass inodus (towards Quebec), all but destroying the French speaking communities in other provinces. The 'nation within a nation' thing has been working, and I support it, even though my French knowledge is minimal. -
