The nofollow will be added on the design previews, which are pages like [www.opendesigns.org/designs/3], the "preview pages" you see when clicking on designs is just a frameset with the link above in one of the frames.
We're just doing some final testing on the script to write in the rel="nofollow" and then it should hopefully be implemented sometime soon. -

I can only assume that it parses the page as it displays it rather than when it is added to the list. I'm pretty sure it will apply to all designs past, present and future.
I'd also like to go ahead and voice my opinion on the number of sponsored links. I don't see a need to a hard limit, but I would just state that a design can be rejected due to "excessive external links", and that "excessive external links" is up to the discretion of the admin approving the design. -

Let's just keep it at two links. What's the NEED to have so many? If don't limit the amount of links you'll find most the designs we get are those boring blogs with the whole lot filled with them... and here's the prtob -
