    All upgrades completed. A few problems remain, such as why I am unable to assign categories to pages. Why is that? Is that something we should be able to do?

    You can't assign categories to pages. Either before or after the upgrade.

    I'm not at all trying to push you away from getting help with Wordpress here, but have you tried Wordpress Support?

    I don't mind helping out as I spend a lot of time mangling WordPress but refueled has a point: there are far more WordPress users in the WordPress support forum.

    Not that I am trying to get rid of you either, on the contrary, ask away for me and please don't go away. bigsmile

    Guys thanks, I misunderstood the purposes of this community. The people here are nice, and I have run into some unpleasant folks at the Wordpress forums and so I thought this would be a good place to come.

    OD is defiantly about helping, never hesitate to ask a question at OD. They were suggesting for your own benefit that you might want to ask in the official WP forums. If you rather not post there, you are always welcome here.

    Well, I will try to limit my posts. I just liked the people here, and they seem so knowledgable. I suppose I was just going overboard.

    If you have a question, post it. If someone can reply and help, they will. If you get no replies, then no-one can help. Stick by that and everything will be fine. Don't ever expect a reply though, what I mean, is that if you get no replies, it's not that no-one can be bothered to help you, it's that no-one can help you because they don't have the answer.

    Not meant in a rude way or anything at all. But basically if you have a question, post it :) You lose nothing if no-one replies, but you could gain a lot from someone who does and can help you.

    Hey guys I won't take it personally. No worries. I understand how forums work. My main concern is to be polite to people. If I screw up there, then I really have messed up. If I don't get a reply, I should understand that no one has the answer.

    If I came across as impatient in some posts, it is only because...well.... I am impatient. LOL

    Part of that owes to the fact that I am on disability for the time being. I am trying to get my sites generating some sort of support so that I can get certain needs met. So, I tend to be rather hurried at the moment, and sometimes it comes across as impatient. I am sorry if I did that. I will try not to do it in the future.

    But thanks for your comments, one and all.

    Now will somebody answer my damn question!!!

    Heheheh teasin. In fact, now I have forgotten what it was. Oh yes, the category thingy. LOL

    Sorry if it came across the wrong way. shamed The last thing I intend is to get rid of anybody. I hate unfriendly, bitchy forums and don't want to see that happen here.

    If you want to ask questions here then PLEASE do. Email me direct if you want. I don't have all the answers as you will know, but I will try.

    [edit] Yes some forums can be a little unforgiving at times - stick around here we'll help where we can.
