So I got myself in a bit of trouble by sending a rough design to a client before checking it in IE6. I had already checked the design in FF, Safari, IE7 and even Chrome. But as you have probably guessed, my client uses IE6 and it looked awful.
I was wondering if any of you had particular methods you use to quickly check your designs for cross-browser compatibility. I've heard of programs that allow you to check between different browsers and even operating systems. If you have any recommendations I would love to hear them (especially if they are open source). -

Doesn't Chrome use Safari for rendering? -

For IE 5.5, 6, 7, and 8beta, try IE NetRenderer. They also have a Firefox add-on which comes pretty handy.

I use multiplie, standalone sometimes, ietab is good->http://ietab.mozdev.org/ and could be used effectively at public computers on portablefirefox. -
