    I think the time as come to create the definite LightNEasy default template (the template used in the default installation), because that is what people will see in the several demo websites like OpenSourceCMS.

    Which poses me a great problem:

    1. A timeless, classy, light design;
    2. A decent and final logo for LightNEasy (i positively suck at making logos);

    As for the layout, i'm thinking on something similar to this

    As for the logo, i'm just stuck....

    I could use any help... cool

    Use Andreas01, with a different colour-scheme and header image. I have no clue for the logo.

    Is there a motif (theme ?) you like that you want to associate with the LightNEasy corp site? or even a color scheme? The blues? contrast colors? I have a basic idea in my head but wanted to see if you had something you were leaning towards first? To keep with the flavour of the CMS it would need to be something relatively simple and clean ...

    The motif is Light and Easy, what comes to mind is clouds or feathers, but the feather motif was already explored (apache, adobe, etc).
    Or.... something else (ex: Shell has nothing to do with oil...).
    The predominant color of the layout will be blue and gray, because those are "neutral" colors. That doesn't mean the logo has to be blue.
    The name is long, but LNE is expressive enough, i think.

    Loved the stylized sun idea!
    My own remark is: if i need to reduce it significantly (to fit a footer, for instance), it is too complex and would lose readability.

    Btw, just ported your last template to LightNEasy. Loved it! bakie

    This is probably too complex too ... but ...

    this may be a little better scaling...

    I like how you guys are thinking creatively. However, these logos, are not "light n' easy". Tomorrow I will try a logo for you..

    I like that one Zanzi ... the cloud idea is sweet. Not sure if ANY of our text will shrink down legibly tho = (

    Here's my idea... now i'm thinking maybe i should have put a little shadow under the text to help with contrast. But, it's pretty light, in my opinion.

    The blimp is from iconbuffet.

    I know this is probably too late but here is my attempt - it is still readable just at 20% so it might be OK

    and if you didnt need the tag line its easy enough to crop out

    Sorry for not replying sooner, but i've been buzy with other stuff (yea, i admit, i also have a real life tongue ).

    Thank you everyone for your contributions, rest assured they were appreciated.

    You can see the overall design as it is now HERE. Feel free to comment on it (still have an IE issue, damn MS!).

    I included wfiedler's logo as it seems to really work well there, although it would need changes: "N" instead of "&" and perhaps the black color is not the best one.... also, the font for "easy" doesn't look easy, but that's just my opinion.

    Considering the layout i'm using, only 2 logos seem to work well there, wfiedler's and acousticsam's (great idea, need to design an original blimp, though, using a standard icon doesn't seem appropriate).

    I thank all other submitters, but presently i am considering those 2.

    This image is open source. I got it from a large collection available here: http://everaldo.com/crystal/?action=downloads. It might look good instead of the blimp, and you won't have to worry about copyright.
