It's not 100% done yet, but I put it online so I can get feedback about what still need to be fixed.
Tour feedback is really appreciated.
Edit: It's online to stay, but we will be doing constant updates and improvements

oooh.....NICE! Only thing that I can see that my need to be fixed (depending on how important it is to others) is having unread topics be a different color. Maybe the lighter green from the header?
forgot to say....Nicely done! VERY NICELY DONE! -

The title of forum posts goes behind the "bottom of page" link in IE7.
Other than that, I absolutely love it!

Yay for fine tuning a style sheet... but it's coming together nice.
The site as a whole is just amazing and we've pulled it off in just a little over one month.

I love it...
- as bakercad also noted at the moment one cannot distinguish read from unread
- at least at my resolution 1528*864 the talk title is over the upper line from the two holding ex "1 to 4 of 4"
- maybe a different color for bottom and top links? -

This site is a really, really nice design!! I can't believe how quickly it has all come together.
In IE6 the Logout and Admin icons have dropped down a bit, but other than that... all looks good. -

Hey guys, I am glad you are all pressing on with the free template movement. It is tough to see sites update and then suddenly die out. I am glad to see the forums integrated into the design now. Keep rocking! Let me know if I can be of any help (I have no bugs for now)

Well done guys.
Only comment is that the links to Discussions, Categories, Search and Account could do with being a bit more obvious. -

How about as subheadings under Forums in the sidebar? -

Also, regarding showing new comments in a thread or hot topics, small icons before the thread title? -

Love the forum skin, but in my opinion the thread title would look much better w/o small-caps (it looks pretty nasty in IE6 with no aa). Also, you could add some left padding to the "li.Discussions" elements in the All Discussions page.
That's my two cents, anyway. -

Yeah, it took me quite a bit of looking to find them.
Only comment is that the links to Discussions, Categories, Search and Account could do with being a bit more obvious.
Moving those items to the sidebar as follows, would be more intuitive:Start a new discussion
Menu
* Discussions
* Categories
* Search
* Account

1. Yes, i probably should do that.
2. It really looks good on other browsers and OS's Nobody claims to use M$product because they look nice, so I'm in favor of keeping the looks for the other browsers. All I need in the IE department is usability. -

Very nice indeed and fits the new look perfectly. Reminds me of Chocolate Limes (an old sweet).
Maybe the links could go in the header alongside the 'log-in' - 'admin' links within the top link area.
Might be my setup, but the thread titles in the view topics page appear very close to the left-edge of their area.
Great stuff! -

Any chance you're interested in creating the images and CSS for those tabs?
If not, I guess i'll just check them in the sidebar. -

I actually think they may be more valuable in the sidebar. Above the "Start a new discussion" sidebar. -

I give it a try if you can wait for a couple of days.
I have a full day tomorrow so can't get to it until Saturday UK time.
Of course if the consensus is that they should be in the sidebar then that is where they should go. -

I played with this CSS with the "Web Developer" ext for FF....let me know what you think...it's nothing fancy.
Just place the current #navlist CSS in vanilla.css with this:#navlist {
font-family: georgia, serif;
font-size: 1.2em;
margin: 0 0 10px 0 ;
padding: 5px 0;
text-align: center;
background: #F3EDE4;
border-bottom: 3px solid #755323;
}
#navlist li {
margin: 0;
padding: 0 10px;
list-style: none;
display: inline;
}
#navlist a {
color: #9EC91C;
text-decoration: none;
}
#navlist a:hover {
color: #755323;
}
#Header ul li.TabOn a,
#Header ul li.TabOn a:hover {
color:#755323;
} -

maybe add this back into the vanilla.css as well? It shows guests and phantom users as a different color, font size and padding (as you can tell from the code
)#Panel ul ul li a span {
color: #9EC91C;
font-size: 10px;
padding-left: 4px;
} -

how come it shows an option to 'sink the discussion' on my left hand side.
I did not click on it, but what will happen if I click it ? ;) -

CommentAuthorChristopher

A sinked discussion can be updated with new comments, but updates will not return the discussion to the top of the page. Instead, the discussion will 'sink' (display lower on the page) over time as other non-sinked discussions are updated.
edit: removed the "sink" option for general users as that could be abused (and shouldn't be needed in general use anyway to be honest) -
