    I like the colors.

If you go for different baselines and x-heights I'd suggest to make an obvious offset.

Actually, a straight one would match your site in other thread even better because you already have a hop in the navigation. The non-typical letter g (freefont from Japan) would be enough variation for me and goes quite well with it.

I would use the C and the D and kind of melt them together. Create some kind of custom shape consisting of these two letters and than you can put in some photoshop effects like shines etc.

    greets

There's something to be said for having your whole name in your logo, like Adobe, Microsoft, Dell, Wal-Mart, Intel, etc.

If you think you can become the marked leader, you can do first letters and eventually go by that (think Advanced Micro Devices, who everyone knows as AMD). However, it's going to be hard to get people to associate "CD" with "Conartist Designs" and not "Compact Disc."

any reason why you made the "ti" fancy? if I were to do that, i'd make "artist" fancy... just personal reference, but i think it would flow better. Makes it easier to read "conartist" instead of conarTIst... if you know what i mean :p

i do like the white dot above the "i" in conartist. i think the two "i"s should have commonalities, either both have a round dot or both have a square dot. at least that's what my highschool tech design teacher would have said...

I like the colors. You're on the right track. Try changing fonts, adding a symbol or line until you get something eye catching.

How about putting the emphasis on the A? Like in your designs where you put the A in brackets. Some kind of anarchy A perhaps?

Based on the idea from BlueCafe .. if you want the PSD I can e-you. The fonts are fairly standard CS3 fonts ...

BTW sorry its not in the flavor of your site - I did the design based on colors only ... because it had been broken in i.e. when I looked at it 1-2 days ago..

keeping that "grass leaf" theme in mind here is another variation. If I am duplicating anyone, I apologize - there are several images on here that are "blocked" by our NetNanny because of where they are being hosted.

Thanks NickyD... Anytime if I am not swamped (and even if I am - its a great change of pace from working on the corporate themed stuff!)

I really like the one with the grass leaf. It looks very creative with this kind of A. Maybe it would look even better if a bit more of the green would be visible in the first word conartist?

@blue: I tried that and it made the grass sort of blend in with the word, but I'd be happy to give the PSD to Connor if he wanted to play with variations ;)
