This is something I've been working on and off on for a bit. I'm not sure if the code is even valid- I'm just concentrating on the look for the moment. Opinions?

very nice. the only problem i see is users of 800x600 will need to scroll down to see the menu; but this may not be that much of an issue since my stats show that only around 11% of users are still stuck on 800x600.

Thanks guys. I really don't even bother coding much for 800x600 anymore, so I honestly never even took that into account, Greg! I usually aim for the 1024x768 crowd.

Added a couple color options as well. Might play around with it a little more if I get some other crazy ideas or suggestions. bakie

The hover effect on the form elements is very cool. Looks good in Firefox (Mac) and especially in Safari.

Yeah, that's the way I like it. Simple and smart. Good job!

@wundertype: hover effect on the form elements? Didn't see it in Firefox 3.0 (Win)!

@wfiedler: I'm lazy and still on FF 2.0.0.14. All form elements slightly brighten from #222 to #333 on mouse over.
In addition, Safari renders the default options in the typical glossy style. That's extra cool since I've never seen it with changing background colours. (Other than in FF, my Safari looses the option list background colour when you click and the list pops up.)

wolfram: it is a subtle effect. I saw it on FF 3.0/WinXP

Glad everyone likes the form hover elements! I just wanted to do something a bit different with those & didn't know how that'd go over lol

I think I'm going to work on formatting a few more elements (lists, etc.) and then go ahead and submit it to the site. bakie

Hu yeah, now I recognized it after looking at it again. But the contrast is a little bit poor. Perhaps dannisbet a dark grey would help.
