Does anyone want to colaborate and form the ODTLC (Open Designs Template License Commitee) We will form a license that makes sense and doesn't suck. It would apply to only the members of OD (or something) Just brainstorming here. I Think Its Time

Why would we need yet another licence?

I can't really see the point if it is no value outside of OD.

Agreed...it does not have to be and should not be.

Check out the non complicated forum rules :)

They don't apply to design licenses, but I wanted to get a little more traction on them so more people will read the thread.

Design licenses shouldn't be complicated either.

I would say that we have to utilise what we already have for licences. I know that CC is a little contentious for some but there hasn't been a problem until recently. I'm sure that we could compliment the licences with a few OD rules rather that rewrite everything.

The rules look reasonable to me. Maybe there should be some more for submissions!

i just wanted to make a thing so that people wouldnt get upset as oftern and plus we can make changes to the license and not to cc. thats all i was about
  4.
Umm, I like the way CC is set up, can we leave is with PD, and CC, just like every other site?

And that's great. You have started a serious discussion about the subject and there's nothing wrong with that.

You know, I don't think there will ever be no arguments ever because you can't please all of the people all of the time.

@ainslie: I agree about serious discussions and nothing being wrong with that.

I also think and agree that we will never please everyone, but if we all follow the simple common sense and respect forum guidelines now in place, we shouldn't have too many blow outs with disagreements.

i now agree. disagreements are good. thats what allows us to be us. it also expresses opinions and creativity which is good.
