Well champs, I'm calling on you all for help once again.

I hate my logo! My partner and I have passed ideas back and forth about what we can do to improve our logo, but nothing ever comes out of our ideas. I think it's just too hard for us to think outside of the box. I've looked at endless pages of inspirational logos and articles about creating good logos. Nothing clicks.

I'm fishing for any ideas you guys can come up with.

    Our Current Logo:

    What we don't like:
    Too simple

    Company:
    MJ Media, LLC

    Our Clients:
    Local Small Business Owners

    About Us:
We've been doing web design, development, and hosting since 2004. As time goes on we may offer other services, but I assume they will be all internet related.

    Owners:
    Mike Weiss
    Josh Taylor

    What wont work:
    Webs or spiders

    My thoughts:
I think that with a name like MJ Media, we may have to use the letters M and J, but I'd like the logo to reflect our line of work in some way.

Like I said, we will take ALL ideas. I'm hoping that one of the creative’s in the group can come up with a wonderfully creative idea. MS Paint logos score bonus points!

    Thanks, and bakie's to all.

Being from Chicago this is the only thing I could think of. Oh yea, plus I suck at art.

    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

i like the basic idea of your logo, perhaps just widen the MJ and add some pizazz and color.

It sort of looks like a thumbs up...hmmmm...just a thought.

This is pretty pixelated, but it could be a good spark of inspiration, perhaps.
    MJ Logo
Edit: I like the anlges in your current logo, but perhaps you could spice it up with new colours (with each letter a different bright colour), and mabey put a rectangle around only one letter, square to teh letter, but not the medium. Red might be nice.

This one is made by wordle which makes cool text clouds. You can play around with colors, alignment and so on ...

Wolfram: you seem dead set on someone using that colour scheme, because you propsed a very similar logo for integra books. bigsmile I love it, and I also want to see someone using that as a brand identity. I personally like Len's concept, and that wordle could be interesting too. I hope this will give Mike what he needs.

Jason: you maybe right. Cool that you remember the integra books logo. I like to create logos with colors like blue and orange and just a simple font type. Blue and orange have a special psychological effect. And when you look at logos of famous companies you will recognize, that they mostly use a special font with some simple graphic elements. That's the secret of high recognizable logos. SIMPLICITY!

Thanks Jason. I do like many of the logos presented here. I think it is cool to see what some create. I remember Wolfram using those colors also and thinking how much I loved the combination. He has a very good eye for color.

I like the cat idea with the logo, that's the kind of thing I never would have thought of. Connors also almost looks like a mouse. I might play around with some of these ideas.

Wolfram, I like those colors, but around here if you use them you are automatically tied to U of M

    Any more ideas?

oh I really like this one (from pete). I think the others are great too but what I like about this logo is that the M and J look really equal. Usually the M looks a little bit bigger and the j just like an junior letter due to it's small width (not all but in most times). This is a great solution to give them both the same importance and it looks very elegant.
