I have looked through these designs 1,000 times and while I always enjoy the browse, I wish there was some way that I could either flag designs with my own private rating or add keywords to a design. Something that only shows up when I am logged in and only I can see what I wrote/voted/tagged.
I am just saying, that would be a real time saver. Might also save on bandwidth as I start my 1,001st browse thru the whole library.
I would be willing to pitch in and write something like that if there was any interest.

I was thinking a little further and if the comments were public, it would almost be like our own little tiny de.li.co.us (or whatever the hell it is)
Maybe one of the login options is to make your comments private or public. -

Wouldn't be too hard or bad even to use del.icio.us or stumbleupon for what you're asking. Plus it would help promote the site. -

Worked on an application just last week where we had this type of functionality. We had a link button setup to add an article or video to a favorites list. When you logged in and went to your profile page you were able to see a list of your favorites with links to the actual article or video. When you were back on that specific page you had the option to remove that favorite if you no longer wanted. Worked out pretty well actually. We limited the number of items show on each type of favorites to five, but with just text links, I don't see why you couldn't have a whole series of them.
Great idea! -

papab - that sounds pretty cool - and probably not too hard to implement.
brad - that is a good idea - although the first pass in my head had me adding tags in the thumbnail preview page - but maybe that doesn't make sense.
I just spent 5 minutes and found a php delicious api wrapper.

Looks interesting. I will investigate a bit more.... but it only runs on php5. Are we up to that here yet? -

another thing to add to this is to hove rss feeds for designers that you con subscribe to. or you con subcribe to the fluid template cat. or fixed cat. endless possibilities -

Doesn't mean there aren't a billion sites out there still using it.
[Shoot. I meant to post this under my other login name]
I haven't used the delicious API yet but I will play with it a bit so see if I can come up with something useful. -

There would definitely be a lot of use for such a function - I have been searching for a week now for a design I saw last month that had a wooden background in it ... and so far, nothing = ( ... So something that we could add our own keywords too, and add to a login based "faves" list - would be wonderful! Perhaps we can, in v 2.0 also have a "fave designers" section if a particular designer's work is of interest? perhaps just linking to their profiles with a flag if they have posted a new design? THAT would be awesome! Just my two copper pennies worth ;) -

@ Zanzibar & BradM81 - I THINK it was a variation on Dark Splinter but Snop's work (when I hit the contact preview it took me to his site) made me drool. THANK YOU!!
