I've you've ever gotten tired of hearing "My site's down - can you check it?" from a client, this one's for you:

    http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/

That's pretty funny. For people too lazy to check the actual web URL themselves, they can go to this site, enter the web URL and have it do the work for them... hehe... and how does this save time? Oh, it doesn't... hehe... still a neat idea. bakie

The few times that I've used it, it hasn't been accurate for me. I'm not entirely sure of their methodology, but it isn't very foolproof. I just tried it on two different domains on two different hosts and it says the site is down, yet I'm watching live traffic come in on those domains right now.

Yea, it was hit and miss for me to sdkester, but I still thought it was funny because I've probably heard that questions way too many times.

    No worries bigsmile

There was a recent liquid web outage that only effected Qwest and AT&T routed ISPs. I drove myself a little batty because I have both Qwest DSL and Comcast broadband and could only get to my server from the Comcast. Strangest. outage. ever.
