It is cool. Sun has VirtualBox, free and still beta but also works well.

I'm a big fan of Parallels. I've only used it from within Windows to test in XP and IE6, test demo software in and fiddle with Linux. It also makes a great way to test or download programs or websites that you are uncertain about as it's sandboxed and can not readily access your main OS and files.

You can use the Transporter to convert other virtual machine hard drive images to run in Parallels.

Parallels is a virtual machine technology, where you run one operating system inside of another.
Boot Camp allows you to run Windows OR Mac OS but not simultaneously. -

or debian, or fedora, or pclinuxos, or opensuse, or sabayon, or opensolaris, or freebsd. I like debian and ubuntu and gentoo, which is harder. -
