Wow! This is huge!
I have a 10GB music library spread over two computers, I've been looking for something like this so I can get the entire collection on one machine without using an external hard drive.
Technically the account's not free forever, though... mine expires on January 18th, 2038.

"Accounts created before May 15th will have lifetime membership for free."
Why does it say LT if it's only until 2038? Is it LT like in fake "life-time" imprisonment in some countries? -

may be they meant "their" life-time..

OK, just signed up, so it does work again.
I have couple of my dumb questions:
What are most of you going to use this for?
Is what I upload open to the general public or is it my private storage area? -

It states, you can password protect areas and have private storage -

I'm using it for music, school projects, images, and small games. -

Would it be a good idea to start a separate thread for files we want to share with each other? It would probably have to be only legal things to protect the credibility of this site. Just a thought. -

Not sure just yet but I'm checking it out.
I tried uploading a 2 gig zip file of photos and it hung up and never re started.
It is very slow for me I'm on dsl and it took about 5 minutes to upload a 17 mb file,
Sooo I tried downloading the 17mb file and it would have taken 1hour 35 mins.(I don't know about that)
and what does this mean?
(How long are the files kept?)
The files are kept forever as long as they are being downloaded.
Just my experience with it just now . -

I just signed up and it is quite simple. But I am wondering how they plan to support a 250gb per person service for free. -

Maybe they are thinking the same thing. I appears the promotion has ended.....at least for now. -

Upload pirated files, movies, music and games of course. What else can possibly use any significant amount of their storage? Web templates? -

They will probably support advertisements, and severely choke speeds -

Doesn't seem to work for me. I uploaded a file and tried to download it but all I get is a zero file size.
Ok, tried again with a photo and it works. The previous file was a zip file so maybe you can only download certain file types? (It seemed to upload alright.) Can't see any documentation so I don't really know! -

I would leave it alone for like a month, if its still there then 1000s less people will be using it and making their servers slow -
