    Opinion question here - with all the new javascript libs coming out, it has gotten very easy to fill your design with animation. If you're on a slower computer, these animations can be pretty choppy.

    Does this ruin the site experience for you?

    yes... I want quick loading, information rich, easy navigatable sites not 'flashy ones'.

    YES! my old machine can't handle large amounts of JS. 10kB will kill it.

    I find that The way I do javascript, it runs fast(ish) on older hardware. But I have a fast pc, so I luv javascript :)
