    My family has a blog for our art studio. I have recently purchased the market theme

    I would like to have both the regular blog and the store blog? on the same domain and I am not quite knowledgeable enough to do anything other than install another version of wordpress in another
    folder

    Is this ok to have dual installs on one domain or should I just install on a totally new domain and link to it?

    I would prefer to keep the it on just one

    Are you saying you want one install on the root of the domain say, www.domain.com and the other on www.domain.com/store/?

    There is nothing wrong with that. It should work fine. You will need 2 databases or specify a different prefix for each database so that they don't clash.

    You can even trick wordpress into linking to it from it's pages menu if you are using permalinks by nameing a page (for instance) 'store'. The page will have the stubb of 'store' and will link to www.domain.com/store/, the same as your other wordpress install.

    Does that make sense?

    Hi, how are your experiences with the market theme? Is it worth the money and easy to handle?
    I am just thinking of what ecommerce solution is the best for wordpress.

    I like it, don't love it (yet?) but could if I was more familiar on customizing, it's a fair price though and the author is helpful.

    He's a student so he does not guaranty help but he always answers my questions

    There is a new (3rd) version coming out in a couple weeks so I have been waiting for that one to begin my store.

    All styles are included with purchase price, 2 so far with the the new one coming

    All in all it's not perfect but it does have potential. Pretty easy even if you have no idea about custom fields

    Thanks for info. I will sleep on it and maybe give it a try. It seems that the theme can give some insight on how to make better use of customs field. Thanks again ..
