Hello All
I am Alex working one of leading seo services and web designing company as web designer. I saw some interesting thread here. It was quite informative.
As I heard some where that Website gives you presence; SEO gives your presence a visibility! so it will be good practice to consider SEO is part of web designing and developing. so after development of web site there will not any need to change your work. And it will save your effort and company's effort too.
So how many you know about SEO. Are there any one who knows both seo and web designing? -

Alex scares me, and not just because he spells his FULL name in capitals! -

Um yeah .. that sounds like a bad ESL marketing pitch ... (sorry, not dissing ESL as I am an ESL speaker as well, but at least my grammer doesn't sound like it was translated through babelfish! :P) .... and I think there HAVE been some SEO threads here and how to optimize your rankings ...

It might have been all about adding that link (which is well worded, so kudos to him for that). Since he just signed up today, it makes me think that maybe we should consider adding nofollow to links for users that are less than a month old or have less than 10 posts, or something like that. -

That might be a good idea ... as a way of cutting down on people signing up just to post "spammer" advertising links and contribute nothing else of value to the site. Maybe require them to post a design first before having their links active? -

I don't like the design idea. I'm not a designer, so I was VERY active here (even helped program bits of the site, such as the search) before I ever got a design submitted. Some people contribute, just not in designs.
I'd use number of posts or times as a member (or possibly both). Sure they could sign up and wait, but most people won't. -

Okay, perhaps not a design per se - but some form of contribution (helped a fellow user, fixed a site bug, some sort of interactivity with other members that shows they are here for something other than just self advertising) and perhaps number of posts that were not specifically self-promoting ... (feedback/commentary/constructive criticism, etc) ... -

just what we need, more restrictions...I don't think so! our mods are usually on top of spammers like Alex so we don't have too many problems to warrant such rules

Hmm Have not noticed many restrictions in the time I've been here .. most have been pretty common sense ...

I just thought it would be something that the admins currently have to do, which could be easily automated, saving them some (much needed) time. -
