Site Specific: Hey! My pending designs are gone!

    I uploaded 3 templates to the queue a couple weeks back, and ever since I've been anxiously awaiting their arrival on the home page. I noticed the designs coming into the limelight recently are around ID #1450, which was about the same number as my designs. So when I went to check out my Admin panel today... the pending designs were gone! What gives?

    Has anyone else also experienced this recently?

    The common reason for a design being removed is authors not checking their templates meet the guidelines.

    But without knowing the ID numbers of the templates I can't give you an exact reason, but as an example design #1450 which is one of yours got removed from the queue because it uses invalid XHTML for markup.

    Since the e-mails never seem to make it... maybe it would be wise to display the reason for rejection in the admin panel.

    @Mike Weiss: I agree that we need some upgrades and features to the admin area and upload design process.

    We also need to get the email system fixed. I'm 50/50 on it being server related or code related. Need to check into it a bit more.

    I've been trying to get with Joe the past week, so hopefully he will see this and we (Joe, Christopher and myself) can map out a few things.

    Thanks for the response guys. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a technical problem that has been overlooked.

    I'll clean up my code and resubmit!

    before you resubmit... i have one request.. make the bg fixed... it would make it look so much collor imho ( than it already does wink)

    yeah, i like that idea, connor. LemonLime was just an old template from the OSWD days that I found while digging through my archives. I thought I'd might as well submit it to OD...

    maybe i'll give my other designs a little retouching before i resubmit, too.
