I'm planning on making a new skin for my website, ModHalo.net and one of my questions is fixed vs. fluid widths. What I have done in the past is have fluid widths, but restrain them with max and min sizes, which I like a lot. Of course one of the advantages of fixed widths is you know what everyone is seeing. It's generally easier to design for. What do you guys think? -

For forum sites and big portals like yours, it is most common to see fluid width pages.
Personally either way is good. If it is fluid it either looks great or looks really bad, and if its fixed its ok for most screens but widescreen people tend to get annoyed, a lot. -

Although personally I prefer fixed designs (of around 1000px), for a forum site such as yours, I would use a fluid width, constrained if you want.
Just curious though, what are your max/min sizes?
