I think there needs to be some guidelines as to how to voice a complaint against another user (or their website).
Firstly, I think we should first address it privately (directly to the user or to the admins/mods) so as to keep the threads on track.
Secondly, I also think we need to make sure our complaints aren't based around our personal ideologies, but rather based on the rules already in place and how they relate to them.
I have no problems with complaints as much as I have with free speech, so this post is not about what is and isn't appropriate (that's never going to be solved).
But... I think we should have a guideline showing us how to complain (not what to complain about)P.S. Cat haters are an exception... these users should be banned without question and in public for all to see! -

I agree that some sort of policy or public stance by the admins should be taken regarding the airing of grievances.
Whether you agree with someone's assessment of your post or content, it always sucks to be called to the carpet in front of others. (Even if I do wish to publicly flog aaron for his hate of cats) ;)

My thoughts: In terms of a guideline, I'd say emailing staff through their own website is probably the best bet, if it can't be resolved without staff intervention. If the argument, comment or dispute involves a moderator, the person you contact should probably be an administrator.
Should I sticky this thread, so that it doesn't get lost in the press (of new comments)? -
