    Here is the error I get after trying to mark all read...


    A fatal, non-recoverable error has occurred
    Technical information (for support personel):

    Error Message
    An error occurred while logging your IP address.
    Affected Elements
    Insert.MakeRead();

    The error occurred on or near: Duplicate entry '9-1558' for key 1

    I did it with no errors

    I only get errors about 2 times a month

    This is a random Vanilla error. It happens every so often and I can never catch it to log things.

    I've also searched around for help on it without luck. If any one has ideas, let myself or another admin know so we can try and hammer it out.

    The plugin has no comments in the whole main block, so it is almost impossible (at least for me) to tell what is going on.

    ...and when you Google vanilla mark all read guess what's first, one of our discussions! Still no solution since the last time this was brought up unfortunately, it's a generic problem with Vanilla/the plugin.

    unfortunately the "mark all read" add-on is not supported by the Vanilla people...it was an add-on created by someone in the Vanilla forum community.

    I just decided to check out the forum over there and found a new version by someone else: Here

    Oooh Bob, nice find! I think we'll be tested that and if it works with the rest of our mods I think we'll replace the current version and test the new one for a month or so and see if the problem continues!

    @Christopher: Did you ever test this new version? I've been able to get limited access to our SFTP, so if this works, I can move it over to the live OD site. Let me know.

    Sean, I had tested it last week on my forum, but the same problem existed. But, that does not mean it won't work here.

    I tested it on a local install of our customised WordPress/Vanilla combo and it still errored a couple of times. Seems to work just like the one we're currently using, works 9 times out of 10 and then sometimes throws an error.

    Guess we could put it up anyway if wanted?

    Sounds like we need to contact the author of both plugins and get a fix or have someone here who is good with programming for vanilla to make us a revised and/ or custom version to solve this problem.

    At least the redux has comments, and we might be able to trace the problem down to a certain block of code. Could someone post the errors spit out by the new version?
