gTalk is good for me. Having 3 kids and a full-time job, it's difficult to schedule things like this, but I'll give it a try. 2:00am-5:00am GMT would be my best bet. FWIW....I'm -5 GMT. -

But Gtalk doesn't allow you to conference, does it? I mainly use Gtalk too, but can get on Skype and Yahoo as well.
My time zone is GMT+5.5, but I can make myself available at whatever time you guys decide EXCEPT Monday/Wednesday/Friday 1200 till 1400 hours GMT. -

I'm available from 12:00 am - 8:00 am GMT which is 4pm - 12:00 am PT.
I prefer Skype for the call as it allows for conference calling. -

I am the same as Bob. It may be hard to schedule a time, but let me know, and I will try to work it out. Like Stan, I will install whatever format you use. -

Heh, I'm a college student. Ready for a weird schedual?
Eastern time, I'm out in PA. The best way to get in touch with me is on AIM, but I'm also on GTalk.
Week: basically from noon until 1am (GMT: 7am - 8pm)
Weekend: 2pm to 8 or 9pm (GMT: 9am - ~4pm), and around 3 or 4am if you're bold
I'm willing to install something else if necessary. -

Skype is probably the best platform, and we should make sure that the conference is recorded for anyone who misses out. I'm at GMT -5, so I can be on: 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM GMT, although I could stay as late as 7 or 8 AM GMT.
10:00 PM GMT until 5:00 AM GMT ( 3:00 PM GMT -5 until 12:00 AM GMT -5 ) -

@gnome: Agreed that Skype would be best, however recording it to me is not a good idea as we could have a lot of rambling during the conversation... but taking some notes and emailing any moderator(s) the notes should be ok.
Thoughts? -

I'll look into recording it, for my personal use, although the resulting wave file may be a bit big to manage. Notes would be a very good idea. Do we have an itinerary or topics list somewhere? -

@gnome: check with Joe on topics/itinerary as he's the one who set the meeting.
as for recording, you would need to get permission from everyone on the call to record it for privacy purposes. -

I can use pretty much any IM, AIM, Gtalk, MSN. Best times for me are Thursdays and Fridays in the afternoon. I am in EST (east coast US). -

Either works with skype. We could just set up a mailing list and fire off emails really quickly :P
Which IM shall we use? IRC would work well, because of it's chat-room nature. Skype has some great controls for large audio conversations, and it is the admin's tool of choice. It seems to me that technical merits are more important than who-has-what, because we will all just sign up for whatever we need. -

The plan was not necessarily for audio, put if skype can handle it, audio would be cool. -

@LobsterMan: Skype can handle it, but it's also a matter of each persons connection to the internet as well. Text/chat would work for many people. I've done up to 12 people on a group chat on Skype without issues. -

How about the following thursday/friday (the 29th/30th) the same time?
Skype?
(sorry it can't be earlier, gonna be in europe for a few days and don't know what my schedule is going to be like) -

5 - 1/2 hours before we get started. if you need to, go and download skype. Using the search feature forJason Cole
and selectCanada
as the country/region, I will come up as the only result. If you just search my name, I am the only result from Canada. Joe and Bakercad can be found in similar manner, although Sean cannot be found, period. -

@gnome: I do use Skype but I did turn off the 'search to find' feature for my account as I was getting a ton of random people wanting to chat who I didn't know or need to speak with.
For anyone who needs my Skype information, view my OD profile, go to my site and contact my via my sites contact form and I'll send it your way. -

Similar situation here.
I will try my best to be there tonight (it is a little late here). Pretty good chance I may pass out before that, plus I will be getting up for work at 5am eastern time. If there is an email summary, please send it along to me if I do pass out. -

Damn! I completely forgot about it, given other things that happened over the past week. I couldn't have attended in any case -- was called away on an emergency as my dad had an accident. The good news is that he's much better now.
Hope the meeting went well. If there's a transcript, would love to have a look. -

@yugnats: meeting went well. We had 4 or 5 total people in it. still need to talk with Joe and Chris as they were not present. I was the only admin.
We are almost done with the moderator/admin only forum, so that will help for future things like this.
gnome took notes. He should have emailed them to you I believe. If not, let me know and I can forward them to you. -

hey sean, yep got the notes from gnome but i'm wondering about all the other features and mod privileges that have been mentioned over the last few months (more access for mods, design approvals, etc, etc).
i'm also wondering if we will be having a new mod / admin vote and will we be voting on new site features, how frequently design contests occur, etc?? -

yeah, how did the meeting go? did anyone show up? has anything been decided on to vote on?
i think it may be too difficult to have meeting this way- maybe a mailing list or something similar is in order? -
