    Just wanted to let everyone know that since the new site went live on December 3, 2006 and as of this post, we've had 8,583 unique visitors and we have a daily average of 715 unique visitors which is really good for only 2 weeks of being up, so the word is getting out.

    We've also had 97,617 page views.

    56.65% of the people who visit the site also return, so we have site stick as well... people come once, then come back again.

    41.41% are from the United States, 14.39% from the United Kingdom and 8.12% from Canada. Of course we get visitors from other places as well but those are the top 3 for now.

    Our #1 referrer is attackr.com and #2 is Andreas Viklund. Another referrer in the top 10 you might know is Ainslie. There are others linking to us as well but just taking a quick look, these are the few that jumped out at me.

    There are a ton of stats being recorded for the site, so as we progress further, I will post more site stats if people are interested.

    Keep up the good work everyone and spread the word and our site link.

    That's awesome news. Are there any stats on how many total downloads for all the templates?

    Downloads are being counted but not being shown yet because we had a download counter issue which is being worked on, so soon you will publicly be able to see how many downloads per design, etc.

    Over the next few days more features will show up... we are doing a lot behind the scenes, so stay tuned.

    Sean, thanks for stats and for taking time to give us these valuable infos. This type of open communication at OD is just wonderful. As soon as my website is up, I will most definitely put some big links to OD!!

    To compare how OD trends roughly look like, compared to OWD and OSWD, check Alexa Stats.

    Edit: The graph shows that OD is making rapid progress and well on the way to become #1 webtemplate site!!

    Indeed OD is on an upward pace... since oswd has 6+ years of history and owd has a little over a year, it's not totally fair to compare OD to the other two sites but as we can see, OD is destine for greatness and high rankings...

    gwolfgang, thanks for your kind words and of course any link love you show the new project... that's what is going to help push OD forward, lots of incoming links, great design submissions and a thriving forum... all things we have in place now... yay.

    For being as young of a site as this is, it is doing suprisingly well. I don't think that the forums at OWD ever gained this much of a devoted following.

    Well before the OWD forums went down and changed to vbulletin, they did thrive... most of the people here are from OWD and OSWD, we are all dedicated to the community, the designers and admins (shameless plug) which is what makes a site like this work.

    I'm sure that stats will continue to rise and once we get the new design in place, I have an ace up my sleeve for major publicity for the site, so sooner the design submissions come in, get voted on, then the winner up, we are going to get a giant boost in traffic... and that's all I'm saying about it at this time, so don't push for more information on my ace in the hole for us and the community... it's going to rock... and when the time comes, of course I will disclose it to the community before it happens.

    Sean -- just can't wait to see those visitor stats start rocking once you get your special aces in action!
    I am sure 2007 will be a real breakthrough for OD and an historic milestone in general for open source webdesign.
