MANY moons ago I was a huge Sitemeter fanatic. I really liked it. Then, I began to have trouble accessing my site stats. This went on long enough that I chimed in about it here at OD.

The consensus at the time was that man was indeed causing Global Warming. Errr...uhhhh wait, my train just jumped its track.

What I mean is, that the consensus (don't you just love that word? It means so very little any more) was that Google Analytics was the way to go.

Well, I made the switch to Google Analytics and before you know it I was a convert. I have been using it for about 3 months now.

Well today, just on a lark, I decided to go to Sitemeter today just to see what they were up to since their technical issues did them in. All I can say is this: seems like the peeps at Sitemeter stepped it up a notch.

They still have a free version that is very useful. But the free version is so much better than it use to be. I really like it.

I do not like the fact that you have to pay a min of 6.95 per month for even better information, but the basic info is very helpful and almost as good as Google Analytics.

Anyway, if you are looking for something different in the way of a site stats script, you could take a look at Sitemeter.

Also, I am testing a new Body Buddy at my site. Anyone care to check it to make sure it works on their platform?

EDITED BY GNOME: please don't shorten analytics to those four letters, because it is a keyword used for a number of content filters.

I haven't tried Sitemeter yet, but for now, I'm going to stick with Google Analytics.

The site works fine on Windows XP, Firefox. Nice design by the way.
